Meet Larry and Shirley
Larry and Shirley Blair were both raised in Humboldt County. Larry started in the funeral business in 1973 and found his “calling”. In 1985 they moved to Fort Bragg, California to purchase the local mortuary and remained there for twenty-seven years. They consider themselves small town people with big hearts. They loved the ocean but preferred the beauty of the mountains. In 2012, they left Fort Bragg for a new adventure in Redding. They opened Blair’s Direct Cremation and Burial Service. Having been in the mortuary industry for over forty years Larry and Shirley are familiar with the needs of families during their most difficult times. In June of 2019 they heard the mountains calling and relocated to Quincy with the desire to purchase the Ferhman Mortuary. They are dedicated to helping the community of Quincy and surrounding areas.
